1. Data Collected
When you create an account and use the application, we collect the following data:
- Identifiers: email address and password (encrypted)
- Food preferences: goal, household size, cooking time
- Meal plan: recipes scheduled for each week
- Favourites: recipes marked as favourites
- History: meals consumed and their nutritional value
- Shopping list: items checked per week
- Nutritional profile (Premium): weight, height, age, calorie goal
2. Use of Data
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Personalise recipe suggestions based on your goals
- Generate and save your weekly meal plan
- Automatically calculate your shopping list
- Track your history and nutritional intake
- Manage your account and Premium subscription
We do not sell, share, or exploit your data for advertising or commercial purposes.
3. Storage and Security
- Your data is stored in a secure database
- Your password is encrypted with bcrypt — we cannot access it
- Sessions are authenticated via signed JWT tokens (expiry: 7 days)
- Communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS)
4. Your Rights — Account Deletion
You can at any time:
- View and edit your preferences from the Profile page
- Permanently delete your account and all your data from Settings
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. All your data (meal plan, favourites, history, profile) is erased.
5. Artificial Intelligence
The AI Coach feature uses the Claude API from Anthropic, Inc. (anthropic.com). When you use the Coach, your messages and anonymised nutritional profile (goal, number of people) are sent to Anthropic to generate a response.
- Your messages are not used to train Anthropic's models
- No name, email or personally identifiable information is transmitted

The AI Coach is an informational assistant only. Its responses do not constitute medical or dietary advice. Consult a healthcare professional for any specific health need.
6. Advertising
Free-tier users may see ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob may use the Android Advertising ID (GAID) to display relevant ads.
- Premium subscribers have a completely ad-free experience
- You can reset or disable your advertising ID: Android Settings → Google → Ads
